Amanda Davidson’s is a published children’s book illustrator and author. She works mainly in pen and ink, watercolour and acrylics, but also in oils. Her recent commissions include the challenge of creating a puppet theatre in a suitcase for a theatrical prop, which she worked on with a fellow puppet theatre enthusiast.
As well as creating her own artworks, Amanda is the art gallery organiser for The Grange Art Gallery and Museum in Rottingdean. Previous exhibition themes include ‘Ballet and theatre’. This October visitors can look forward to an exhibition on Tudor Close – once a famous hotel in the 1930s – which explores Amanda’s love of architectural drawing and storytelling.
