Betty Shek has a background in fashion and textile design, and she enjoys creating unique pieces of felt art, using vintage buttons and upcycled elements to create her work.
Betty creates all her pieces with her original designs and freeform embroidery technique for each individual piece. She uses vintage buttons and up-cycled elements for her one-of-a-kind jewellery.
She used to travel to Japan very frequently for her job and worked with a local textile designer – so you can tell her works have been influenced by Japanese culture.
Betty’s works can be found on etsy.com,
folksy.com and at iO Gallery and Cactus Gallery in Brighton.
Her studio will open in May with a selection of talented artists showing their works. More information can be found on Betty’s facebook page facebook.com/BettyAndFriendsArtistsOpenHouse.
