Unlimited is an independent design shop, gallery and studio based in Brighton. The design studio was founded in 2008 by husband and wife team Patrick and Sara Morrissey. In 2010 they also started showcasing the work of a collective of like-minded contemporary illustrators, designers and printmakers from their weekly ‘pop-up’ studio shop. They participated in three years of Artists’ Open House exhibitions, and have held a number

of their own exhibitions showcasing new and

exclusive bodies of work from a number of local designers including Will Scobie, Imeus, Box 2

and Julia Trigg.

In spring 2013 Unlimited exhibited at Pick Me Up (the UK’s most prestigious annual Graphic Arts event held at Somerset House, London), which was a huge success. Then over the summer they moved to their brand spanking new space in the heart of Brighton’s North Laine  opening their design gallery and shop to the public last September.

Continuing to work closely alongside each other, Patrick runs the Unlimited design studio, while Sara focuses her energies on the shop and gallery – where they continue to curate, showcase and sell prints and design-led products by an exciting and ever expanding collective.

The feedback over the last few years has been amazingly positive, and the gallery and shop has grown organically as a reaction to this. Sara hopes it feels more ‘honest’ than engineered – filling a need rather than foisting another venture onto the market! Their aim is to keep forging new connections with other skilled creatives, keep evolving as a business and be inspired by what’s going on around them. The new studio and gallery space making them a more visible and pro-active part of the Brighton creative and retail scene. Their main drive at Unlimited is to continue to source, provide and promote a great selection of concept-led, unique, affordable and innovative work.
