Wendy Standen


Wendy trained as a teacher specialising in art and design, and taught for the last 20 years of her career in Brighton primary schools. She has recently specialised in painting in pastels, although she also

produces work in a range of other media both

2 and 3D.


Wendy has a particular interest in portraiture, both human and animal, working from drawings from life and from photographs. She is a member of several art groups and societies, and is Secretary of the long established Attic Art Club of Ditchling and has won several awards for her work.


Her work has been published in Artists & Illustrators Magazine and shown in the Mall Galleries, London.


Wendy is currently a Director of Shoreham Art Gallery, a collective of more than 20 artists, where some of her work is always on show and for sale. She can be visited by arrangement at her studio in Brighton.
